La Grange Welcomes the Holidays with Virtual and In-Person Shopping and Entertainment

‘Tis the season for holiday magic – and this year is no exception. The Village of La Grange and the La Grange Business Association (LGBA) are ramping up excitement with spectacular illumination plus in-person and virtual holiday activities for families to enjoy safely. For seven weeks, La Grange supports its small businesses by creating “must see” photo opportunities, transforming storefronts with themed window displays and providing engaging holiday experiences in a promotional campaign called “La Grange Delivers Holiday Wishes” presented by Dubak Electrical Group.

• What's the best gift you can give? One that's purchased in La Grange. This 32-page digital flip book showcases unique holiday gifts and highlights store owners top picks for this holiday season.  The Holiday Wish Book is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Realty and Horton's Home Lighting. Consumers can shop the retailer’s website directly from the La Grange Holiday Wish Book.

• Always a twinkling spectacle, this year La Grange adds more drama to its holiday lighting with special oversized illuminated displays including an 10-foot tall walk-through ornament sponsored by Petty & Dragstrem Orthodontics, giant snowflakes and a life-sized four-person holiday sleigh, sponsored by Anthony Chiarito with American Family Insurance in front of the historic Village Hall -- perfect for holiday photos. The expanded lights displays are designed to attract additional pedestrian traffic and showcase the Village as a must-see holiday destination.

•  Various LIVE events will be held on the LaGrangeIL Facebook page with different merchants highlighting the latest trends and top-selling holiday gift items.

• Visual decorators will transform selected storefront windows into enchanting holiday window displays for families to enjoy while walking through downtown.  The special window scenes will be unveiled on Small Business Saturday, November 28. The festive windows are sponsored by: @properties, Aracely's Bakery, Boyce Chiropractic, Club Pilates, Horizon Wealth Management, Jasinski Home Team, Nonna's Good Life Pizza, and Smothers Realty Group with Compass

• Santa & Mrs. Claus will greet visitors in their cars at drive-by Santa visits on the West End from 6-8pm, sponsored by FNBC Bank & Trust and Balkan Bakery. Princess Elsa & Olaf, characters from “Frozen" who are sponsored by Pillars Community Health, will also greet passersby from outside the decorated Stone Avenue Train Station from 6-8pm - with a free gift while supplies last! Attendance at drive by visits is limited. And there will be photo opportunities at two Selfies with Elfies photo board locations in the Central Business District, too, sponsored by Vintage Charm and Ten West Salon.
