Commuter Concert Series: Joe Hurt Jazz Trio

Our next concert on Wednesday, December 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary features our own Joe Hurt, jazz pianist, with Khari Parker on drums and Ken Haebich on bass. Ken writes music and plays acoustic and electric bass with his own band and many others. He's also an instructor at Elmhurst College and teaches composition, jazz improvisation and double bass and directs the jazz combos. Khari has performed with an extensive list of artists, including Destiny's Child, Beyonce, Boz Scaggs, Gladys Knight, Jennifer Hudson and Joss Stone, and still regularly tours overseas with George Benson. There is no admission charge. A free-will offering is received for the musicians.
