2023 Skeletober in La Grange
Make no bones about it. La Grange businesses are serious about celebrating Halloween as they pose light-hearted skeletons in front of their shops, offices and restaurants as part of a spirited celebration called "Skeletober."
This is the ninth year that the La Grange Business Association is organizing the display of boney visitors as a way to entice foot traffic to the business district. Dozens of skeletons designed to tickle your funny bone are going up for display along the sidewalks. The skeletons, seeming to be living their best afterlife, will be posed as themed characters like waiters, dancers, princesses, painters and more.
You can check out each unique skeleton by following a printed walking map which will be available at local businesses indicating where each skeleton is located. The fall promotion is organized by the La Grange Business Association and is held with support from the Village of La Grange.
Other spooktacular events happening during Skeletober include:
Most Popular Skeleton Photo Contest: Snap photos with the captivating skeletons listed on the walking map and share them on Facebook or Instagram, tagging the La Grange Business Association and using the hashtags #skeletober and #photocontest to enter the competition for the most popular skeleton. One winner of a gift certificate to a La Grange restaurant will be named on November 1. See 2023 Skeletober Photo Contest Official Rules for complete details.
