2023 Conversations with a Village Trustee: Meet Peggy Peterson
As we look to expand the relationship between our business community and Village leaders, we're scheduling casual conversations throughout the year to become better acquainted with each other - and hopefully, gain insight to the opportunities, dreams and challenges that are facing us as business owners and civic leaders.
We hope you'll join us for the next chat in our series for LGBA Members only on Tuesday, September 12 at 4:30pm with Village Trustee Peggy Peterson.
Peggy and her husband, Jon, have lived in La Grange for 35 years and raised their two children here.
Peggy was elected to the Village of La Grange Board in April of 2021. During her time as a trustee, the Board has negotiated with Classic Cinemas to restore the La Grange Theater and continued to support the restaurants in La Grange by extending the popular outdoor dining options.
Currently, the Board is engaged in the development of our Comprehensive Plan, La Grange Forward, and it is actively working to address flooding as a result of a favorable opinion reached in the litigation against Hanson Quarry.
Professionally, Peggy works as a Financial Consultant. Prior to serving on the Village Board in La Grange, she served on the Illinois District 105 Board of Education for 8 years.
If there is a particular topic that you'd like to discuss with a Village Trustee, please reach out to Legislative Affairs Committee Chair Robby Bartholomai.
