About Us

Our Mission:
The Legacy Guild is a local charity that provides college scholarships and mentoring for area students who have lost a parent and live in Lyons Township District 204 which includes La Grange, Western Springs, Burr Ridge, La Grange Park, Countryside, Indian Head Park, Hodgkins, and parts of Brookfield and Willow Springs. Students must live in District 204 but may attend, or have attended, high school elsewhere.

The Legacy Guild has provided $888,500 in college scholarship awards to 144 students since its inception in 2012.

Our History:
The Legacy Guild was formed by a group of local men in 2012 drawn together after the deaths of several treasured friends and neighbors. We gathered to support each other and transcend our grief and sorrow. The organization formed within weeks of these tragic events to honor the legacy of those parents who have died in our community and offer support to their children.

The Legacy Guild is designated as a federal 501(c)(3) charitable organization and registered with the State of IL.
