About Us

LADSE is a special education cooperative made up of 15 member districts. LADSE collaborates with its member districts to provide high-quality, evidence-based programs and services and provide comprehensive, cost efficient support, and positive outcomes for students with disabilities ages 3 through 22.

Founded in 1957, LADSE is the first special education organization to be established in Illinois. From 1957 until today, LADSE has continued to be a leader in special education supports, programs, services (including autism and assistive technology consultation), instructional environments, and professional development. LADSE’s highly specialized teams provide direct, individualized support to students, families, and member district staff.
