| How do you make a board game about the Village of La Grange? You choose favorite landmarks and a big parade\, mix in some shops and a soccer club\, restaurants and railroads to create La Grange-Opoly\, a limited-edition game being released this month by the La Grange Business Association.\n\n \; \n\n The unique game features a board with real estate properties\, playing cards\, game money and tokens and is made in the USA. It will be sold for $29.95 plus tax at La Grange retailers including Anderson's Bookshop\, Fair Game\, Horton's and TATES Old Fashioned Ice Cream. \n\n \; \n\n Iconic "properties" on the game board include Lyons Township High School\, the historic West End Train Station\, FNBC Bank &\; Trust\, the La Grange Theatre\, the La Grange Pet Parade and many others. \n\n \; \n\n La Grange-Opoly is launched to coincide with festivities surrounding the 140th \;anniversary of the Village of La Grange\, founded in 1879 by Franklin D. Cossitt who dreamed of creating an idyllic suburb. \n \;\n\n Game sales are \;a fundraiser for the La Grange Business Association. \n\n \; \n\n La Grange-Opoly also complements the association's annual summer art exhibit which this year features 30 colorful games tables displayed in front of local businesses through Labor Day.
